Clayton's love of nature is expressed in his art. He has an ability to execute his unique visions using several types of media. Mostly self taught, he has been making art since he was a child. His predominant medium is metal and has an impressive 35 years working in various fields of the welding industry.

 Sketching was also something he did as a child, he never considered it would amount to much. It was working as assistant to Artist William DeBilzan, that inspired him to pursue his painting. Thick, heavy layers of texture, color and expression framed with unique pieces of wood.

Jewelry seemed to be a natural progression for Clayton. After many years working with large scale metal projects, he was asked to collaborate with an artist who needed jewelry. It was what he needed to become a jeweler, he always wanted to make jewelry.
